Springsteen Tour Keeps It in the Family

What could have been a bitter dispute between Bruce Springsteen and Conan O’Brien over the custody of the drummer Max Weinberg has been resolved amicably. Mr. Weinberg is currently performing on Mr. Springsteen’s tour, which runs through August, but is scheduled to join Mr. O’Brien when the comedian becomes host of the “Tonight” show in June. In a release, Mr. Springsteen’s publicists said that for tour dates at which Mr. Weinberg cannot appear, he will be replaced by his son Jay. In a statement, Mr. Springsteen said: “I want to express my appreciation to Conan O’Brien, and everyone on his team, for making it possible for Max to continue to do double duty for both us and for him. We promise to return him in one piece.”
